OUR HISTORY

A tradition that rides on.

American Saddlery and Big Horn: handmade saddles, Chattanooga roots, and generations of riders.

SINCE1965HANDMADE · ONE AT A TIME

Our roots run deep.

Chattanooga has a rich tradition of saddle making, tanning, and leather craftsmanship. American Saddlery and Big Horn continue that tradition with saddles made by hand in the USA.

Since 1965, the two brands have built a legacy of saddle making. Traditional tooling, stitching, and attention to detail remain part of that story, alongside innovations for today’s riders.

The family has grown to include saddle lines such as Circle A, MasterCraft, and Jack Hughes Maker, along with tack and leather supplies that support life around horses.

A look back through the catalogs.

These original publications offer a window into earlier saddle styles and the history of our brands. They are for historical reference; products, specifications, and prices are not current.
